Richard "Larencio" Matthis began composing music in 2007 at age 54. Already an accomplished bass vocalist admitted into the vocal music program at the Conservatory of Music and Dance, University of Missouri-Kansas City. He sang with the Kansas City Symphony Chorus for two seasons. He greatly enjoyed singing with the Heart of America Barbershop Chorus.
Using the Finale professional music notation software, he has created 160 musical compositions in a variety of genres: Opera, Principal Symphonic, Principal Symphonic and Choral, Large Chamber Ensembles (over 12 musicians), Micro Chamber Ensembles (less that 12 musicians), Jazz and Pop.
Divided into 23 compact disc releases, Larencio's audio tracks have over 44 hours of audio. He has created many music videos that are up on a variety of online sites, including YouTube and Facebook.
Again using the versatile Finale software, he re-recorded and divided the first 74 compositions into discrete sections that are collected into a 9-disc DVD compilation of Commercial Stock Audio.
